Evening Chronicle Sept 22 05. North Tyneside Council are way over central government targets for landfill dumping, laying them open to future fines of £10.5m. They are being forced to buy "landfill allowances" from Westminster Council at a cost of £1.3m. If they are your council, you might have something to say to them about this.
